RAINSTICK
This rainstick is from Chile and was originally used in
the belief that it could bring about rainstorms. It is made from cactus which is dried by the sun. The spines are removed and driven back into the cactus like nails and then filled with
pebbles or other small objects with the ends sealed off.
A sound like falling water is made when the rainstick has its direction changed to a vertical position.
